July Box-Office: Two Films Ruled the Roost!

July Box-OfficeThis July, Tollywood witnessed several new releases, but only two could dominate the ticket counters: Samajavaragamana and Baby. These films exceeded expectations, making them even more special.

Baby emerged as the massive hit, connecting wonderfully with the target audience and achieving blockbuster success despite being a new-age content film that puzzled some industry seniors and critics.

On the other hand, Samajavaragamana, a comedy caper, found its audience among the youth and families, picking up momentum after a slow start and achieving substantial box-office earnings, including a notable one million in the U.S. for Sree Vishnu.

Other notable films like Hidimba, Rangabali, Rudrangi, and Bhaag Saale faced disappointment, ending up as disasters.

July’s biggest release was Bro, starring Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej. However, the film received mixed reviews and started with average collections. Its success in recovering the investment for buyers hinges on steady performance in the second week. Monday’s performance will provide a hint of its prospects.

Rangabali turned into another massive disaster for Naga Shaurya, while Hidimba, despite its novel plot, did not find success.
