Prabhas’ film Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi) had an impressive start, earning 22 crores on its opening day, exceeding expectations and surpassing Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter which collected 21 crores. This made Kalki 2898 AD the biggest opening of the year for Hindi films.
However, this record might soon be in jeopardy with the release of Deadpool & Wolverine this week. Hollywood films, particularly Marvel and DC movies, have a strong following in India.

The advance bookings for Deadpool & Wolverine are promising, with over 1.2 lakh tickets already sold in major multiplex chains like PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis, and numbers are expected to rise further.
Given the strong performance of previous Wolverine and Deadpool films and high anticipation, Deadpool & Wolverine is expected to open with 18-20 crores in the Hindi market and potentially over 30 crores across India.
