Thug Life, starring Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, and Trisha in the lead roles, directed by Mani Ratnam, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 5th.
Pre-bookings for Thug Life started yesterday in many major centers in Tamil Nadu, while PVR and Inox chains are yet to open their bookings.
However, according to reports, even though Thug Life was trending with around 3.5K tickets booked hourly in the Book My Show ticket booking platform, the overall bookings are dull.
Following this, some trade experts commented that despite the movie having a good pre-release buzz, the pre-bookings in major centers in Chennai seem dull, and even Indian 2 had better pre-bookings compared to Thug Life.
However, with still two days left for the release, it’s expected that the PVR and Inox chains will start their pre-bookings by tomorrow. Therefore, from tomorrow onwards, the pre-booking count will increase in Tamil Nadu.
Nevertheless, Thug Life has huge expectations among audiences, and it remains to be seen whether it satisfies those expectations and emerges as a blockbuster success upon its release on June 5th.
