Controversial actress Kangana Ranaut criticized director Karan Johar and his latest movie “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” in a recent Instagram post.
She compared the film’s content to lengthy Indian TV serials and questioned the need for a massive budget of 250 crores for what she views as repetitive storytelling. Kangana urged Karan Johar to retire and allow young filmmakers to create new and revolutionary films instead.
Kangana also urged actor Ranveer Singh to steer clear of Karan Johar’s fashion choices, calling for a more respectable and masculine appearance akin to that of South Indian heroes.
She wrote to him, “Indians can’t identify with a cartoon-looking person calling himself a hero. Please see all the South heroes and how they dress up and carry themselves with great dignity and integrity. They look manly and dignified. Don’t ruin the culture in our country.”
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, had a mediocre start but showed improvement on its second day. The movie is expected to make around Rs. 45 crore during its first weekend, which is not great but not bad either.
