Superstar Mahesh Babu’s latest family action entertainer Guntur Kaaram did moderate business during festive holidays at the box office due to extremely mixed response from the audiences and critics.
The film’s unit did not do any promotions before the film’s release, and they have now released an interview of Mahesh Babu and Sree Leela with anchor Suma.
During the interview, Mahesh Babu revealed that he and director Trivikram had already decided that they would have at least two energetic dance numbers in the film.
He expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’m not sure when I’ll have another opportunity to groove to the beats of typical Tollywood masala songs. It might be a few years before I take on a regular commercial Telugu movie again. So, we aimed to make the most of this chance.”
It’s worth noting that Mahesh, a few years ago, used to proudly say that he would stick to doing only Telugu films.
He even used to joke about doing Hindi or other language films. But he now seems to have accepted the change and trend.
His next with Rajamouli is going to be the biggest film of his career which will be released in Hindi and other languages as well.
He seems to have mentally prepared to go pan-India and leave Telugu cinema behind for a few years.
Fans also expect that Guntur Kaaram might be his last exclusive Tollywood film and hereafter it will be only pan-India projects from him.
