As we had reported multiple times in the past, Rajamouli, has this habit of announcing his projects in a grand manner through official press conferences. He followed the same formula for his previous film, RRR as well.
In the case of his upcoming film with Mahesh Babu, it appears that Rajamouli is taking a new path. He hasn’t held a single conference on this film till date and silently progressing with the shoot.

That being said, Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu have come up with a clever social media campaign to keep this film relevant at an official capacity.
Earlier, Rajamouli shared a meme of himself getting ahold of Mahesh Babu’s passport. This is a satiric post on grabbing Mahesh’s passport to keep him from flying off on vacations during the shoot.

Incidentally, this was met with an equal and opposite reaction by Mahesh Babu today as he finally flaunted his passport at the Hyderabad airport today while presumably flying abroad. This could be a satirical reply to Rajamouli.
While there has been pressure from fans to hold a press conference at the earliest, Rajamouli is silently ignoring this talk and instead, came up with a clever social media campaign featuring him and Rajamouli.

It needs to be said that this social media strategy is indeed working as Mahesh and Rajamouli are finding themselves in the middle of all these funny social media debates about foreign tours and passports.
Considering that there is no better man than Rajamouli to market his films, he appears to have decided that this is the right strategy for him at this point. We can expect him to change the gears and amplify the game once he deems fit.
