SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi continues to make headlines, but this time the discussion is not about the film’s scale, budget, or storyline. Instead, it is about Mahesh Babu‘s work-life balance.
The superstar was spotted heading on another family vacation with Namrata, Gautam, and Sitara, and the visuals quickly went viral. While Mahesh fans were happy to see their hero enjoying some downtime, the development also triggered an interesting debate among movie lovers.
Many fans started comparing Mahesh’s experience with that of Rajamouli’s previous heroes.
When Prabhas was working on Baahubali, the actor reportedly dedicated several years almost exclusively to the franchise. Similarly, Ram Charan and NTR underwent physically demanding transformations and lengthy shooting commitments during RRR.
As a result, some fans are now asking a simple question:
Why does Mahesh seem to be getting more freedom?
Social media has been flooded with comments comparing the situations.
“SSR tho last work chesina prati hero kukkalla kashtapadi, body penchi, family time lekunda years spend chesaru.”

Naturally, Mahesh fans have their own answer.
According to them, Rajamouli understands exactly what Mahesh brings to the table.

Of course, there is another side to the argument as well.
Just because Mahesh is taking short breaks does not necessarily mean Rajamouli is being lenient. Varanasi is reportedly a massive project that will continue shooting for several more months. Long schedules often include planned breaks, especially when portions involving the lead actor are completed.
Moreover, Rajamouli is known for adapting his filmmaking process according to the requirements of each film and actor. What worked for Baahubali or RRR may not necessarily apply to Varanasi.
