Media Free from Gag Order to report Rajini’s News

It was during the ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ release that the poor performance of the film resulted in financial issues and several financiers who suffered the losses and those whose payments are due had to approach court for the pending payments from the makers of the movie. Here Rajini’s wife Latha Rajinikanth was instrumental to give the loans to the financiers on her behest.

An interim Injunction was issued against reporting any news involving Rajini’s family stating that every individual has space to safeguard and shield his family from making into public news. So there was a gagging order (suppressing the media from publishing any news related to Rajnikanth and family) issued by the court in last December.

In the fresh order, the court opined that ‘Kochadaiyaan’ financiers had brought in only the financial issues and has got nothing to do with Rajini’s family. This issue is related to his work and the news will be reported in the media. As it is very clear that Latha Rajinikanth was involved and influential in money transactions, her name also surfaced in the news reports. Finally the gag order on media is off now.
