There has been a lot of buzz in the industry regarding the remake of 1973 action entertainer Zanzeer. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and featuring stars like Ram Charan and Priyanka Chopra for the lead roles and Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Prakash Raj and Mahi Gill in supporting roles, Zanzeer is being made in both Hindi and Telugu simultaneously. According to director of the Telugu version of the film, “The Hindi teaser is almost ready and we are working on the Telugu version of the teaser.”
The latest rumours about the film suggest that its Telugu version has been titled Merupu. However, Yogi, director of the film’s Telugu version, has put all the speculation to end by saying that all these rumors are baseless since they are yet to title the Telugu version. “All these are rumors and are baseless. We are not even considering such a title and need some more time to title it”, said Yogi.
