Many assume that filmmaker A.R Murugadoss doesn’t have it in to produce blockbusters in Hindi and his Ghajini was merely a fluke. But he has silenced all critics with his latest film ‘Holiday’, which has collected over INR 40 crore in just three days in India. At this rate, the film is expected to reach the prestigious Rs. 100 crore club in about two week’s time.
Murugadoss by now has understood the pulse of the masses and that’s precisely why he has the track record of being one of the most successful filmmakers in the south even with a flop like ‘7th Sense’. He is extremely happy with the response to Holiday and feels he is relieved off a big responsibility. He has now returned to Chennai from Bombay to start shooting for his Tamil film Kaththi. In fact, the regular shooting for Kaththi has started today in Chennai.
He will return to Bollywood next year to direct a straight Hindi film and he’s very likely to make that announcement soon.
