Mythri Gave 1 Crore to YouTuber Mouli?

Mythri Movie Makers offer ₹1 crore to Mouli

YouTuber Mouli Tanuj Prasanth recently tasted big success with Little Hearts in theaters. Now, rumors suggest that Mythri Movie Makers locked him for a one-crore advance as remuneration for his next film. Social media reactions are mixed, with many questioning if such a high amount is justified for a YouTuber.

From a general audience perspective, this may seem excessive. But anyone really familiar with the trade, or film production knows this is a safe bet. To put it in context, the same producers paid Tamil newcomer Pradeep Ranganathan a 13-crore paycheck for Dude. The reactions were similar-shock and skepticism-but the producers were confident because his previous films were hits, and they could secure a lucrative OTT deal with Netflix. They even sold other rights, like remake, music and dubbing rights, for much higher than usual, thanks to his strong youth following.

For Mythri Movie Makers this approach is strategic. They’ve lost money on some medium-range heroes, such as Nithiin in Robin Hood, but with young talents like Pradeep, they make profits even before release through OTT, remake, and dubbing deals.

The same logic applies to Mouli : because of Little Hearts, his next film is likely to be in high demand in the OTT market. Offering him one crore is not overhyped-it’s a calculated, pretty safe investment. Going forward, his success and consistency will determine future rates, but for now, this amount is justified.
