After setting a high benchmark with COURT – State Vs A Nobody, Natural Star Nani’s Unanimous Productions is back with another interesting venture. Titled Alias Rukmini, the film stars Nithiin in the lead, is directed by Dhandora fame Murali Kanth Devasoth, and produced by Deepthi Ganta.
The title announcement video opens with Nani asking Murali Kanth to finally reveal the story everyone has been talking about. The director responds that it is the story of Krishna, but the visuals unexpectedly shift to books authored by Rukmini. Their quirky romantic titles raise more questions than answers.
Nani voices the audience’s confusion by asking, “You told me it’s Krishna’s story. Then who is this Rukmini?” The suspense reaches its peak when Nithiin is introduced as Krishna, a mathematics teacher. He quietly says, “My wife,” delivering a reveal that instantly changes the perspective of everything shown before.
With its restrained storytelling, immersive presentation, striking visuals, and pleasing background score, the glimpse succeeds in creating curiosity and anticipation. It appears Murali Kanth Devasoth has come up with yet another intriguing subject. More importantly, Nani’s backing of the project further elevates the excitement.
The film boasts a strong technical team, with Jomon T John ISC cranking camera, Vijai Bulganin scoring the music, Avinash Kolla serving as the production designer, and Srujana Adusumilli taking care of the editing.
Alias Rukmini, which was launched today, will begin its regular shoot in the coming days.
