Srikanth Odela has made an interesting confession about The Paradise. In a recent conversation with Raghav Juyal, the director admitted that he is now scared of the audience and their expectations. After the success of Dasara, the pressure around his second film with Nani has become much bigger, and he says that pressure has affected the way he approaches the film.
Odela explained that he does not want to compromise on the film just to finish it quickly. He has been spending more time on the small details and wants every part of The Paradise to reach the level he has imagined. That perfectionism has also contributed to the long production process and the delays the film went through.
This is a different picture from the usual talk around delayed films. The director is not simply blaming production issues or technical work. He is admitting that the expectations after Dasara have made him extremely cautious about what he delivers next.
Raghav Juyal also spoke about how much he learned from Odela and Nani while working on the film. With The Paradise now targeting September 24, all that pressure will finally be tested in theatres.
