‘Nirmala Convent’ was released in theatres on Friday and running in theatres with not so encouraging talk. Coming to the overseas collections for the premiere shows, they are very poor considering the Nag factor which could have earned decent collections.

Nag has got a good track record recently with three consecutive hits in the name of ‘Manam’, ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ and ‘Oopiri’. The lack of excitement for ‘Nirmala Convent‘ shows that the makers failed to highlight Nag’s role in this small movie.
The gross collections from premiere is $3,496 from 26 locations on Thursday, which is very poor. With the kind of talk the film has got after the release on Friday, one wouldn’t expect miracles to happen to ‘Nirmala Convent’. So, another small film which came last week, ‘Jyo Achyutananada’ isn’t going to have any competition from Nirmala Convent.
