Nithya Menen’s Ganga dominates her Bangaram

It is Nithya Menen all over the cinema screens for at least next couple of weeks. The actress was already part of a biggie Son of Satyamurthy which is currently occupying big number of screens. Now she will have two more films coming up this week.

Nithya Menen is part of both the film Ganga and Ok Bangaram releasing this week in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. While she plays an important character in Ganga (she plays the title role), she has the main female lead role in the Mani Ratnam directed film. From trade point of view her Ganga seems to be the one dictating the terms all over.

Ganga aka Kanchana 2 is getting the biggest release among the two clearly. Ok Bangaram (OK Kanmani) on the other hand is finding it hard to get screens on same level, especially in Tamil Nadu which is supposed to the more strong bed for the director. The openings based on the screenings will clearly be one sided but would it also reflect in the long run?
