Bollywood star Akshay Kumar‘s new film, Cuttputlli, is gearing up for its OTT premiere today. Noted digital platform Disney Plus Hotstar has bagged the direct-to-OTT streaming rights of the film. The Akshay Kumar film skipped its theatrical release and chose the direct-to-OTT route.
Directed by Ranjit M Tiwari, Cuttputlli is an official remake of the cult crime thriller, Ratsasan, which was later made in Telugu as Rakshasudu with Bellamkonda Srinivas as the lead actor.
Cuttputlli is all set for its digital premiere, and the film is shockingly carrying low buzz among the audience. Even the team looks completely disinterested, and it seems everyone just wants to get rid of it.
People on social media are saying that they are sick of watching Akshay Kumar every week. His movies have become so boring and generic, with no real depth, good performances, or memorable scenes.
Some of the users were saying that Akshay is not looking convincing and who the hell will watch it when the original is already available on YouTube and is telecast on TV every week? Hindi filmmakers should now stop remaking South movies for at least some time.
The only big positive is the film is releasing on Disney plus Hotstar which will ensure good visibily for the film as they are leading the market right now.
