Let’s take a look at the Tollywood box office report and critic review roundup for November. There were nine releases in total this month. Of these, three to four films received premium reviews from the majority of critics, and we’ll see how they fared at the box office.
There wasn’t a single film that truly surprised at the box office or became a major hit. Films like The Girlfriend, The Great Pre-Wedding Show, Raju Weds Rambai, and the recent Andhra King Taluka received very positive reviews from a section of web critics. Out of these, only a couple, particularly The Girlfriend and Raju Weds Rambai performed decently at the box office. The rest failed to make any significant impact.
Other releases such as Mass Jathara, Jatadhara , 12A Railway Colony and Premante completely bombed due to weak content. Kaantha was a different case; it was more of a documentary than a commercial film and it didn’t work at the box office either.
Overall, November saw some critics rallied behind and praised some films high, but there was no major box office hit. Only The Girlfriend and Raju Weds Rambai managed a decent run.
