Jr NTR’s appreciation for Sing Geetham has become a talking point on social media. The actor took to social media on Monday to praise the film, veteran filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, producer Nag Ashwin, and music director Devi Sri Prasad.
While the gesture appeared straightforward, its timing has triggered some amusing fan theories online.
A section of social media users sarcastically suggested that NTR was promoting Sing Geetham to divert attention from Ram Charan’s Peddi, which is currently running in theatres. As expected, fan wars quickly took over the conversation.
However, the reality is probably much simpler.
For NTR, Swapna Cinemas is not just another production house. The banner shares a long association with him. In fact, Swapna Cinemas was launched with Student No. 1, the film that gave NTR his first major breakthrough as a hero. Ever since then, he has maintained a warm relationship with the banner and has often supported its projects whenever possible.
There is also the Singeetham Srinivasa Rao factor.
The legendary filmmaker directing a movie at the age of 94 is a remarkable achievement in itself. Several prominent personalities across the industry have congratulated him and extended their support to the film. NTR’s appreciation appears to be part of that broader respect for one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated directors.
What is interesting is how quickly even a simple congratulatory post now gets pulled into fan politics.
Social media has reached a stage where every tweet, like, or appreciation message is analyzed for hidden motives. But in this case, there appears to be little reason to read too much into it.
Sing Geetham and Peddi are completely different films aimed at different audiences. One is a small, content-driven musical fantasy backed by a legendary filmmaker’s passion, while the other is a large-scale commercial entertainer headlined by a star hero.
More importantly, NTR has very little to gain from getting involved in such games. Not every tweet is a strategy. Sometimes, it is simply an actor appreciating a film and the people behind it.
#SingGeetham is a beautiful film that touched my heart. Legendary Singeetham Srinivasarao garu at 94 delivering creativity and wisdom like only he can is deeply inspiring to witness.https://t.co/V3I1C0jAth @ThisIsDSP, you nailed it throughout! You brought magic to every…
