Jr. NTR and Prashanth Neel’s upcoming film Dragon is one of the most awaited projects, thanks to the director’s craze and the massive scale on which it is being mounted.
Like most big films, Dragon has already gone through a couple of release date changes.
Today, producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers officially confirmed that a new shooting schedule will begin at the end of this month and will continue without breaks until summer next year 2026. Based on this statement, the film is now officially out of the Sankranti 2026 race. In fact, there are growing doubts about whether the film will be completed in 2026 at all.
The only optimistic scenario is a possible release toward the end of 2026. If that doesn’t happen, the film might get pushed to early 2027.
Prashanth Neel is known for missing release deadlines, avoiding early promotions, and making changes deep into the production timeline. So, it’s clear that uncertainty around Dragon will continue, and even the producers don’t seem fully sure when the director will wrap up the shoot and deliver the final product.
