Pawan Kalyan’s OG has kicked off with a strong box office start, boosted by massive paid premieres. The scale of the premieres was unprecedented, and elevated ticket prices combined with strong bookings have set the stage for record-breaking opening day revenues.
On BookMyShow, the film sold around 25,000 to 30,000 tickets per hour, a solid number that contributed to its huge start. While not earthshattering, these figures combined with the premiere momentum make OG one of the biggest openers in Telugu cinema history.
Industry estimates suggest the film could open close to Rs 100 crore globally, with $2.8 million from the North American market playing a major role. Strong collections from the Telugu states further boosted revenues, while Tamil and Hindi versions contributed modestly as expected.
This marks the biggest-ever opening for Pawan Kalyan and one of the strongest openings for any regional Telugu film in recent years. The official day-one numbers will be revealed tomorrow, but early signs confirm OG has made a powerful impact at the box office.
