Pooja Hegde’s Hero Making Producer’s Life Hell

Pooja Hegde is doing more projects in Bollywood these days as compared to the South after a few of her films like Acharya, Radhe Shyam, and Beast flopped.

She is right now doing a film with Shahid Kapoor, Deva, which is said to be an adaptation of Mumbai Police. She has also signed Sanki with star producer Sajid Nadiadwala which attempts to re-introduce Ahan Shetty after the flop remake of RX 100.

According to reliable industry sources, Sajid is reconsidering Sanki because Ahan is making his life hell by increasing the production costs unreasonably.

Sajid reviewed the high costs of Ahan’s entourage, including staff for hair, makeup, styling, and more, which were charged to the production. Frustrated by these expenses, Sajid considered canceling the project, stating it wasn’t financially viable.

Also, the current market for satellite and digital rights isn’t as lucrative as it once was. Despite selling digital rights through a bulk deal with Amazon Prime Video, the returns weren’t as high as Sajid expected.

Sajid has reportedly halted pre-production and stopped funding the project. His long-time friend Suniel Shetty (father of Ahan) then stepped in, asking Sajid not to abandon the film and even offering to contribute to the budget.

Insiders believe Sajid may proceed due to his friendship with Suniel, but if the project continues, the budget will be significantly reduced, and Ahan won’t receive the superstar treatment he’s accustomed to.
