Prabhas vs RK: The Bigger Box Office Star?

Ranbir Kapoor finally became a superstar after last year’s blockbuster hit Animal, which collected around 900 crores worldwide. Even before Animal, Ranbir was doing well, but he was missing that one big blockbuster that he got with Animal.

After the success of Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD in Hindi, there is a debate among Hindi audiences about who is bigger, Ranbir Kapoor or Prabhas.

As of now, Ranbir Kapoor might be slightly ahead of Prabhas, as the multiplex Hindi audience, which contributes majorly to box office collections, prefers him more than Prabhas.

On the other hand, Prabhas is more popular in the Hindi heartlands of B and C centers, as they prefer macho heroes compared to softies like Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir Kapoor’s last three films, Brahmastra, Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar, and Animal, opened to net collections of 32 crores, 13 crores, and 51 crores respectively.

Meanwhile, Prabhas’ last three films, Adipurush, Salaar, and Kalki 2898 AD, opened to net collections of 35 crores, 15 crores, and 21 crores respectively in Hindi.

Prabhas’ lineup includes Kalki 2, Raja Saab, and Spirit with Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Spirit could open to 75 crores net in Hindi if everything falls into place.

Ranbir’s lineup includes Love and War, Ramayana, and Animal Park.

These upcoming films will determine who is bigger among the two, Prabhas or Ranbir Kapoor.
