Production on Drishyam 3 is moving quickly, and a major casting update has added fresh excitement. Acclaimed actor Prakash Raj has officially joined the film and will play the central antagonist in the latest chapter of the suspense franchise.
Sources say Prakash Raj replaces Akshaye Khanna, who was earlier expected to take on the villain role opposite Ajay Devgn’s Vijay Salgaonkar. The change has drawn attention, given the weight the antagonist carries in the Drishyam narrative.
Known for commanding performances across industries, Prakash Raj’s inclusion has sparked strong buzz. Many believe he is an ideal fit for the role, especially given his ability to bring depth and menace without exaggeration.
Social media reactions highlight excitement around seeing Ajay Devgn and Prakash Raj share screen space again. The duo last appeared together nearly 15 years ago in Singham, which adds a layer of nostalgia to the casting.
With Drishyam 3, Prakash Raj continues a strong run after SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. These projects position the coming years as a busy and high stakes phase for the actor.
Prakash Raj’s career spans multiple languages and genres, with consistent praise for both antagonist and supporting roles. His casting has raised expectations and curiosity as audiences await these upcoming releases.
