Actor Prakash Raj has firmly dismissed rumors claiming that he has been removed from Spirit, the much-anticipated film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and headlined by Prabhas. The clarification comes after a wave of speculation on social media suggested a fallout between the actor and the director.
Reacting strongly to these claims, Prakash Raj took to X to shut down the rumors. In his post, he wrote, “To all the toxic #Fakenews peddlers on Spirit the movie. We have not even started shooting for my scenes and you WhatsApp factories speculate stories. Grow up and have a life,” adding a series of laughing emojis. His statement makes it clear that the reports about his exit from the project are baseless.
Earlier, several industry reports had claimed that Prakash Raj walked out of Spirit due to creative differences with the director, particularly over the script and a specific scene. Some unverified sources went a step further and alleged that his behavior on set did not sit well with the makers, leading to his supposed removal from the film.
A few social media posts even claimed that the situation escalated after a heated political discussion between Prakash Raj and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, as both belong to different ideologies. These posts alleged that the discussion ended with the director telling the actor, “You are fired from my movie.” However, none of these claims were ever officially confirmed by the film’s team.
Spirit continues to remain in the spotlight ever since its announcement. The film features Prabhas in the role of an intense police officer. After the Raja Saab fiasco, this film is extremely important for Prabhas. The female lead is played by Triptii Dimri. Vivek Oberoi is reportedly playing the main antagonist.
Earlier Deepika Padukone exited the project due to scheduling issues, after which Triptii Dimri was brought on board. Currently slated for a theatrical release in March 2027, Spirit remains one of the most anticipated films in Indian cinema.
