Prime Video’s Hat-trick Completed By Mahesh Babu

Amazon Prime Video has completed a disappointing hat-trick in Telugu cinema. Mahesh Babu has completed the hat-trick with Sarkaru Vaari Paata.

Amazon had amped up the content acquisition rate in Telugu as it had acquired biggies like Radhe Shyam, Acharya, and Sarkaru Vaari Paata.

Sadly for Amazon, none of their three big-money acquisitions could garner a blockbuster response following the theatrical release. This will rub off into the OTT premieres as well.

Radhe Shyam opened to mixed reviews and turned out to be a disaster. Acharya was an outright disaster from the start. Sarkaru Vaari Paata opened to mixed reviews and we need to see where it ends up. The sad thing for Prime is that none of these films could get sureshot blockbuster tag following theatrical release.

But the good thing for Prime is that they have KGF 2 up their sleeves. This film is a box office monster and it could well make some noise following its OTT premieres.
