Protests on Movies.. How they help?

Finally Balupu makers have heeded to the pressure of Brahmin community and made changes to the ‘objectionable’ dialogues in the movie. This is not the first time a movie coming under a scathign attack. Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu faced the wrath of Telangana agitators and Denikaina Ready is grounded by Brahmin community again. There were lot of murmurs on Iddarammayilatho (regarding Reddy community) and Gundello Godari (regarding Tribals’ sentiment).

While some of these protests severely affected the collections of some movies. Movies like Denikaina Ready were actually benefited getting some free publicity. But on the whole the effect on the Censor board is even worse. They began to become over cautious and start chopping every minute scene thereby creating a mental barrier in film directors’ mind.
