Can Allu Arjun Steal SRK’s Crown in 2025?

Pushpa 2 Maidaan Goat Life award race

The buzz around the 71st National Film Awards might still be echoing, but film lovers have already shifted their focus to the upcoming contenders for next year. While Shah Rukh Khan bagged the Best Actor award for Jawan, fans are now wondering who could claim the top spot in 2025.

Leading the discussion is Allu Arjun, who is once again in the spotlight for Pushpa 2. After winning Best Actor for Pushpa: The Rise at the 69th National Film Awards, fans are hopeful that he might repeat the feat with the sequel. Alongside him, other strong contenders being talked about include Kartik Aaryan for Chandu Champion, Ajay Devgn for Maidaan, and Prithviraj Sukumaran for The Goat Life.

Each of these performances has received praise from fans and critics. Whether it is the depth shown by Kartik Aaryan in his non-commercial role or the raw emotion brought forward by Prithviraj in The Goat Life, the year has seen some powerful acting. Some also feel that Vijay Sethupathi in Maharaja and Randeep Hooda in Swatantra Veer Savarkar could surprise everyone.

Despite appreciation, Chandu Champion did not perform well at the box office. Many believe this might affect its chances, even though Kartik’s effort was widely respected. Maidaan, too, struggled commercially despite Ajay Devgn’s committed performance and strong critical reviews.

On the other hand, The Goat Life has built momentum with its moving storyline, gripping music, and Prithviraj’s intense role, making it a serious contender. As for Pushpa 2, expectations are high, especially considering the success of the first part and Allu Arjun’s ever-growing popularity.

With such fierce competition and mixed results across theatres and critics’ circles, fans continue to debate. It is still anyone’s game, and only time will tell who will walk away with the next Best Actor trophy at the National Film Awards.
