S.S. Rajamouli is working on his next big venture, SSMB29, with Mahesh Babu in the lead. The project has already created massive buzz, and fresh updates from the team have further heightened excitement among fans.
Rajamouli recently visited Kenya with a 120-member crew to scout exotic locations. He met Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, who posted about the visit. The team explored Masai Mara, Naivasha, Samburu, and Amboseli, where key action sequences are expected to be filmed.
The film promises thrilling chases, intense fights, and real wildlife interactions, with Africa’s wilderness playing a central role in the narrative. Mahesh Babu’s character is said to uncover a generational secret, adding mystery and depth to the action-packed story.
With a reported budget of Rs. 1,200 crores, SSMB29 stands among Asia’s most expensive films. Slated for release in 2027, it will arrive in multiple languages across 120 plus countries. Some reports suggest it could be a two-part franchise, though official clarity will come in November with the first video glimpse.
The film will also bring together Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas for the first time, alongside a strong global cast. Kenyan authorities have expressed enthusiasm, viewing the shoot as a chance to highlight their country’s landscapes on an international scale.
With Rajamouli’s vision, a global ensemble, spectacular backdrops, and a story blending action with mystery, SSMB29 is shaping up to be a milestone cinematic spectacle for Indian cinema.
