Telugu Twitter is buzzing with discussions about Ram Charan and his Ayyappa Mala, a spiritual practice he follows every year without fail.
This year, however, the topic has sparked controversy. Some social media users are questioning whether Charan has followed all traditional rules of the Deeksha while wearing the Mala.
Recently, a debate began when a picture surfaced showing Charan working with a hairstylist for the upcoming schedule of Peddi. Critics claim it is against Ayyappa Deeksha norms to get a haircut while wearing the Mala.
The discussion intensified further during Chiranjeevi’s birthday celebrations. A video showed Charan eating cake and touching Chiranjeevi’s feet, which some argue goes against Deeksha rules, especially if the cake contains eggs.
Despite these debates, Charan has worn the Ayyappa Mala many times in the past without similar controversy. This time, though, the discussions are louder, with social media sharply divided on the issue.
