Ram Charan and Upasana have become parents again recently, on 31st January, to their twins. Many have been eagerly waiting to know the names of the kids and today, they made official announcement. Ram Charan chose to honor his father, Megastar Chiranjeevi and their family’s spiritual roots while naming their kids. He named them – Shiva Ram Konidela and Anveera Devi Konidela.
The name Shiva Ram is a masterful blend of the spiritual essence of the boy’s father, Ram Charan, and his grandfather, Chiranjeevi, whose original name was Shiva Shankar Vara Prasad. It also represents a balance between inner power and outward action, drawing inspiration from the ancient Shiva Ram Temple built by the Kamineni ancestors of the Domakonda Samasthan. By choosing this name, Ram Charan has ensured that his father’s legacy and their family’s spiritual roots remain central to the next generation.
The name Anveera Devi Konidela serves as a powerful tribute to the Divine Feminine and maternal devotion. The name signifies boundless courage and resilience, qualities embodied by Goddess Durga. It was specifically inspired by the blessings of the Kanaka Durga Devi Temple in Vijayawada, a place of immense significance to Ram Charan’s mother, Surekha Garu. The couple have also explained the meaning behind Klin Kaara Konidela, their first born and stated that it marks strength, grace and discipline.
By naming the twins Shiva Ram and Anveera Devi, the couple has honored both sides of the family, celebrating the spiritual guiding lights of their parents. These names reflect an aspiration for strength, love, and grace, ensuring that the children carry the weight of their heritage with pride. It is a remarkable example of how Ram Charan and Upasana chose to keep tradition alive through meaningful and deeply personal choices.
