Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi, is set to have its world premiere in Los Angeles. The premiere of the film will be held on 27th October at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
The invite-only 3D screening will accommodate 945 industry figures at the David Gaffen Theatre. Guests have been asked to wear traditional Indian festive attire. The event aims to showcase Indian cinema and culture to an international audience.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is backed by Prime Focus Studios, DNEG and Monster Mind Creations. Ramayana is scheduled for a theatrical release on 5th November, coinciding with Diwali. The music is composed by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman.
The first instalment of the two-part film will release globally in multiple Indian languages and English, including IMAX and other premium formats. Sony Pictures is handling international distribution, while the second part is scheduled for release during Diwali 2027.
