Renu Desai Case: Cyberabad Cops Arrest Instagram Abuser

In a shocking development, Cybercrime Police in Cyberabad have arrested a man for allegedly posting an abusive and offensive comment on a post related to actress Renu Desai, who is also Pawan Kalyan’s ex-wife.

According to officials, the accused has been identified as Kotipalli Venkanna, a security guard by profession. Police said he was active on social media platforms, particularly Instagram, where he spent his free time browsing reels and posts. The issue came to light after he posted an objectionable comment on a video featuring Renu Desai, which had been shared by a news page.

Cybercrime authorities tracked the accused through digital evidence and online activity. He was eventually apprehended in Madhapur on March 17 and brought to the Cyber Crime Police Station in Gachibowli for further inquiry. During the investigation, the accused produced his mobile device, a Vivo phone, which was used to post the comment. The phone has been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police have not disclosed the exact nature of the comment but confirmed that it was considered abusive and offensive under relevant laws. Based on this, legal action has been initiated against the accused.

Following the incident, Cyberabad Police issued an advisory urging citizens to be mindful of their behavior online. They emphasized that posting abusive, defamatory, or offensive content on social media platforms can lead to serious legal consequences.

Officials stressed that social media is not a space without accountability. Every post, comment, or interaction leaves a digital footprint that can be traced. The case serves as a reminder that users must follow both legal and ethical standards while engaging online.
