The ‘Romanchakam’ press meet in Hyderabad brought together the film’s cast and crew, who expressed strong confidence in the movie ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on September 3. Distributor and producer Suniel Narang said that he had complete confidence in the film’s success and predicted that it would become a hit. He said he would speak in greater detail about the movie at its success meet.
Director Venugopal Reddy revealed that Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Pranay Reddy Vanga immediately liked his story after hearing his lengthy narration. He said Sandeep gave him complete freedom to execute his vision. Pranay explained that Venugopal’s entertaining narration and three months of rehearsals impressed him, while he expressed confidence that audiences would find the performances fresh. Ananthika said she connected strongly with Venugopal’s script after hearing several stories following ‘8 Vasantalu’.
Hero Sumanth Prabhas recalled how excited he was after hearing about the “crazy story” from Sandeep Reddy Vanga at the SIIMA Awards in Dubai. He praised Venugopal’s two-and-a-half-hour narration and said the director brought the script to the screen exactly as envisioned. Sumanth also praised Ananthika and the rest of the cast, while Pranay urged audiences to watch the film with friends and family. The team is now looking forward to meeting audiences in theatres on September 3.
Producer Pranay Reddy Vanga revealed that director Venugopal Reddy narrated the story of ‘Romanchakam’ to him around fifteen months ago. He said that Venugopal presented the entire script in a hilarious manner and performed all the characters himself during the narration. The unique narration impressed the team and convinced them to take the project forward.
“I believe audiences will find those performances fresh and different. He made the film within the budget we had planned on paper. You will never get the feeling that this is a small-budget film,” Pranay said. He added that the team hopes the story he believed in will connect with audiences and described the film as a buddy comedy that moves forward in a highly entertaining manner.
