Rs.1.5 Cr compensation agreed upon by big producers!

In the last 2-3 years, some big ticket movies tanked at the box-office so miserably that heavy losses were incurred on many distributors in Kollywood. So they started demanding compensation from the big producers.

According to what we hear, the producers of Vijay’s ‘Puli’ had agreed to pay a compensation of Rs.1.5 crores to the distributors for the losses they have suffered. A two-day meeting was held to resolve the issue and come to an amicable solution.

Initially the distributors announced to issue red card and stop the release of the producer’s next films. After the talks, it’s agreed that they will be paid compensation in instalments and in turn, the distributors will allow the movies’ release without creating obstacles.
