Salman Khan acquitted in Hit and Run Case

Mumbai High Court had acquitted Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan in 2002 ‘Hit and Run’ case. The court pronounced its verdict a short while ago. The court opined that the Prosecution has failed to prove any charges against the actor in the case.

The court also stated that the actor can not be convicted with the evidences produced. This will mean the the high court strikes off the five year rigorous jail term awarded to him by the previous trial court.

It may be reminded to our readers that in the early hours of September 28, 2002, the actor under the influence of alcohol rode his Toyota Land Cruiser and crashed into five men sleeping outside the American Bakery in Bandra. One person, Nurullah Sharif, died in the accident and four were injured.
