The first day collections for Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh are out and one must say it’s phenomenal for a regular commercial film. The film has collected little over 21 Cr making it the second best opener of all time in Telugu cinema in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Unlike some biggies of the recent past which were nowhere in competition with Baahubali and were aiming for Non Baahubali records, Sardaar Gabbar Singh came in challenging the mighty Baahubali itself. It has beaten the opening day numbers of the film Baahubali in four out of eight territories in the process. However in final tally it fell short of Baahubali by few lakhs.
Sardaar Gabbar Singh posted staggering numbers in all the territories as the final number suggests but it’s the performance in coastal belt and Krishna district that stood out among all areas. To say it was humongous or massive would be like underselling it. That’s how big it has been.
The real test however begins from today with a clear picture emerging on Monday. Let’s see where the film settles finally given the weak reviews and talk.
