Top Hero Strategically Smoking!

The above is the opinion of the State convener of Tamil Nadu People Forum for Tobacco Control (TNPFTC), Syril Alexander. This statement came from him as a reaction on the first look poster of Vijay Ilayapathy’s upcoming political action thriller ‘Sarkar‘.

The TNPFTC convener sees this as the violation of the tobacco control laws against using tobacco products and spreading the wrong message among the audiences. Also, he alleged that this had been the strategy of the mass star for his earlier films; using tobacco products for promotion and then after gaining publicity, his team extends apologies.

A political leader, Ambumani Ramadoss took to Twitter to lash out on Vijay for encouraging the youth to smoke as he has huge fan following who follow his antiques quite blindly. The politician advised the mass star to be more responsible and keep up his word that he gave earlier about not smoking in his movies.
