Satya and Yogi Babu are joining forces for a Telugu-Tamil comedy entertainer, directed by Rangabali fame Pawan Basamsetti.
Nagarjuna Reddy and Pawan Basamsetti together are producing the movie under the banners of Dream Movie Makers and Nayavayu Chitralu.
The title glimpse, unveiled today, introduces the film in an entertaining manner. The makers have coined the term Telumil to describe their Telugu-Tamil combination.
The concept brings together the two languages, along with artistes from Tollywood and Kollywood.
The glimpse starts with a humorous exchange between a Telugu man and a Tamil man, who are busy enjoying their favourite food while arguing over which cuisine is superior. Their playful food debate takes an unexpected turn when a person tells them that another combination is about to arrive.
Satya and Yogi Babu then make their entry in traditional outfits. The director reveals that the movie combines love, crime and action elements. The title Golden Bhagyam is revealed at the end.
The film features an unusual pairing of Satya and Yogi Babu. Interestingly, the language equation is reversed, with Satya speaking Tamil and Yogi Babu speaking Telugu.
The glimpse also showcases giant cutouts representing popular Telugu-Tamil multi-starrers.
Jayashree and Athiraj play the female leads, while the supporting cast includes Vennela Kishore, Sudharshan, Kishore Tirumala, Rohini, Tanikella Bharani and Sunil Reddy.
The makers have also added a comic touch to the release announcement. The film was initially announced as a Sankranthi release, but after crossing the festival window, the makers chose to announce it simply as a release during the year.
The announcement reflects the film’s playful theme.
