Tradition takes centre stage in Shanarthi, the latest Telugu film to emerge from the creative collaboration between Sampath Nandi Teamworks and Sri Dhanalakshmi Productions. Produced by Sampath Nandi and KV Sridhar Reddy, the project is presented by Aditya Movies.
Raj Ganesh Uppunooti makes his directorial debut under the creative guidance of his mentor Sampath Nandi. The story, developed by Sampath Nandi and his team, is set in rural Telangana and aims to capture the region’s distinctive cultural identity, emotional texture and rustic charm.
The makers have chosen the intriguing title Shanarthi, a traditional Telangana greeting, giving the film an identity that is closely tied to its setting. The concept is reflected vividly in the title poster, which depicts two hands joined together. One is immersed in turmeric yellow, while the other carries a bold red hue, creating a visually arresting contrast. Completing the design is the tagline, A Tale of Culture.
Akhil Raj, recognised for his work in Raju Weds Rambai, headlines the film. Naga Durga has been selected as the female lead, marking her transition from popular Telangana folk songs to the big screen. Suresh Bobbili is roped in to score the music.
Shanarthi was launched today. With shooting scheduled to begin soon, the makers are preparing to unveil more information about the cast, crew and other key elements of this culturally rooted film.
