As Suriya’s ‘Singam 3‘ is all set for release, the makers of the film are concerned as an illegal torrent website announced that it would release the film online on the opening day itself.

So, the producer of the film Gnanavelraja challenged the torrent website in court by filing a petition in the Madras High Court. However, the petition that was filed was a wrong one. Instead of filing a writ petition, the makers should have gone for a civil suit.
With this reason, the judge rejected the plea of the producer to restrict the Internet Service Providers from engaging in online piracy. So, the court didn’t take up the case for hearing at all. It was totally a wrong move. Thus, the petitioners had to withdraw the petition to file a writ petition.
