Singham Returns aiming for 100cr week

Ajay Devgn starrer Singham Returns directed by Rohit Shetty has had a stupendous first weekend. The film on its opening day surprised everyone and achieved an unexpected figure of over 30cr. It followed the opening day on expected lines with predictable drops and ended the weekend on a huge note with nearly 80cr collections. This is the second biggest opener of the year as far as the weekend goes and by far the biggest opener ever for hero Ajay Devgn.

What the massive weekend collections also mean is that the film now has all the chances to cross 100cr within the first week itself. If that feat is achieved it would also in effect mean the sequel crossing its original collections in a weeks time. Singham had in its full run collected close to 100cr. The milestones don’t end there, once it reaches 100cr, Singham Returns will be the fourth 100cr grosser in the combination of the actor and director pair making them one of the most successful actor-director association. As far as the final run goes, only at the end of second weekend would a clear estimate be known.
