For the past few years, actress Sobhita Dhulipala has remained at the center of public attention, largely because of her relationship and eventual marriage to actor Naga Chaitanya. From social media debates to constant speculation about her personal life, the actress has often found herself under the spotlight.
Sobhita and Naga Chaitanya made their relationship official with an engagement in August 2024 before getting married later that year in December. Their wedding quickly became one of the most talked-about celebrity events in South India, attracting enormous interest from fans, media outlets, and social media users.
Months after the wedding, Sobhita has finally shared her thoughts on dealing with public scrutiny and the endless opinions that circulate online.
Speaking during a conversation with Galatta Plus, the actress said the experience has helped her become more confident and secure about who she is.
According to Sobhita, while there has certainly been attention around her personal life, she views much of it as natural curiosity from people. She explained that she was simply living her life and never felt the need to react to every discussion happening around her. Over time, she says she has become more comfortable with herself and no longer feels affected by differing opinions.
She also offered an interesting perspective on social media conversations, comparing them to changing weather conditions.
“There is always a lot of discussion, backlash, and intensity surrounding everything. I see it as something similar to the weather. Society has its own weather patterns. You cannot take it too seriously because it is never permanent. Just as the weather changes, public opinion and conversations change too,” she said.
Because of that, she feels it is important to remain centered and not take every wave of backlash or praise too seriously.
Her remarks have attracted attention because she and Naga Chaitanya largely kept their relationship private despite years of speculation. Reports suggested the couple began dating in 2022, nearly a year after Chaitanya’s divorce from Samantha in 2021. Even as rumors continued to circulate, neither chose to publicly discuss the relationship until announcing their engagement.
Today, Sobhita appears far more focused on her personal happiness than on public perception.
