SS Rajamouli’s son, SS Karthikeya already proved his mettle by actively involving in the production of his father’s RRR. Karthikeya is treading independently going forward.
He just announced two films as a producer in association with Arka Media.
He recently made his Distribution Debut with the Telugu version of Premalu.
Premalu sprung a big surprise at the Telugu box office. The movie had a very ordinary start at the box office on its first weekend, and everyone thought it was finished. But then, the movie took a dramatic turn from there.
The film took a slow growth on the weekdays and put up a good show from the second weekend. Incidentally, the makers did nothing in terms of promotions or anything. It was just the word of mouth taking over out of nowhere.
It’s not just at the domestic box office, the movie surprised at the US box office too.
Premalu collected a very negligible amount in the United States in the first weekend. It performed dramatically afterwards and is now heading towards a $350K finish which is an excellent number. This is a feat not achievable for many notable actors.
Word of Mouth taking over in the second weekend and that too without doing anything is a big surprise in recent times. SS Karthikeya definitely has some luck in his favor.
