“My assistant director handled the pre climax scene (hospital) of ‘Naannaku Prematho’ so well that, I think it’s time for me to do lesser number of movies. I’m unable to take the tension when everyone is waiting on sets for me when I’m still mentally working on improvisation,” are the words spoken by Sukumar when asked if it is true that one of his AD directed a scene in NKP.

When the tension of meeting the Sankranthi deadline was mounting, Sukumar presence was needed for editing the movie and hence had to hand over the pre climax scene to his AD, a Kannada guy Arjun who had been working with Sukumar since ‘Jagadam’.
He thinks, Arjun did handle the scene really well and has no regrets as he had to do it since he didn’t want to waste the festival season. If it misses for Sankranthi, the next big season will be only in May, in summer.
