The film was expected to release soon, but the current situation has put those plans on hold. In the United States, there were hardly any premieres lined up in the first place, apart from a few late-night shows, so there is little impact on rescheduling overseas.
For Suriya, this comes as another setback at a time when he is already going through a tough phase with his recent films. The lack of buzz, combined with the postponement talk, has only added to the uncertainty around the project.
Director RJ Balaji addressed fans with a message, admitting that there is no clear answer yet about the release. He said the producers are working hard to resolve the issues and reminded everyone that the film has faced multiple hurdles over the past 32 months. Despite the situation, he expressed strong faith that things will fall into place.
Balaji urged fans to stay patient and trust that Karuppu will overcome the obstacles and hit screens soon.
