Following the blockbuster success of Karuppu, Suriya is now awaiting the release of his next film Vishwanath and Sons directed by Venky Atluri. The shooting of this film was completed even before the release of Karuppu and it is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 14th August.
Meanwhile, Suriya is also starring as the lead in a commercial entertainer tentatively titled Suriya 47 directed by Jithu Madhavan. The shooting of this film is nearing its final stages, and the Suriya 47 team aims to release it before the end of this year.
However, both Vishwanath and Sons and Suriya 47 were started before the release of Karuppu. After the massive success of Karuppu, all eyes are now on Suriya’s upcoming films and how the actor is going to shape his lineup further.
Although there have been no official updates on Suriya’s upcoming collaborations following Suriya 47, some sources suggest that Suriya has already locked his directors until his milestone 50th film.
According to reports, Suriya is once again reuniting with director TJ Gnanavel for his 48th film and this collaboration has almost materialized. Furthermore, there is information that this is a hard-hitting emotional film based on the biography of the 5 rupee doctor, Dr S Jayachandran.
Suriya’s 49th film is going to be helmed by director H Vinoth, and sources suggest that it is a racy action thriller. The most anticipated 50th film of Suriya is going to be under the direction of Nelson Dilipkumar and has almost been finalized.
In response to this massive lineup, many people believe that all the collaborations look solid and that, if everything goes as expected, Suriya has a solid opportunity to rule the Kollywood industry.
On the other hand, a few people are unhappy only about Suriya’s collaboration with H Vinoth, as they believe he has become outdated. Therefore, they feel that if Suriya replaced him with another promising director, his lineup would be more perfect and solid.
