Thandel HD Leak Impact: Couldn’t Block iBomma

Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Thandel faced an HD leak, creating significant concerns. The full-fledged film’s HD version leaking right after its release has caused tension not just for producer Bunny Vasu and Allu Aravind but also for the Tollywood Active Producers.

Any film, big or small, which requires a significant investment of time, energy, and hard work, faces severe damage when its HD print is leaked—especially in an era where OTT is the preferred choice for a large section of moviegoers.

Bunny Vasu addressed why they couldn’t block websites like iBomma, which is notorious for spreading HD prints and piracy. He revealed that iBomma operates from African countries where cybercrime laws are either weak or nonexistent. The Geetha Arts team attempted to block iBomma three times, but the site kept relaunching with new IPs.

Beyond piracy websites, Bunny Vasu pointed out that unauthorized sharing through WhatsApp and Telegram channels is causing even more damage to films.

He urged everyone not to spread such links and warned that those watching and distributing Thandel’s HD print would face legal consequences. Once an FIR is filed, he emphasized, there would be no way to reverse the legal action.

He also provided a contact number 9573225069 for reporting instances of Thandel being aired illegally on local cable channels or any other platforms, requesting people to inform the team if they come across such incidents.
