OG Hindi Final BO Collections: Massive Shocker!

Pawan Kalyan in They Call Him OG box office report

They Call Him OG entered its second weekend with decent momentum in South India, though the Hindi version continued to struggle. Directed by Sujeeth and starring Pawan Kalyan, the action drama collected around Rs. 15 crores gross in its second weekend in India, with Rs. 13.5 crores coming from the Telugu states.

After eleven days, the film’s India total stands at Rs. 210 crores, while its worldwide gross has reached Rs. 270 crores, including USD 7 million (Rs. 62 crores) from overseas markets.

However, the Hindi dubbed version has turned out to be a major disappointment. As per trade analyst Nishit Shaw, it earned only Rs. 3.7 crore net in eleven days and is likely to close at Rs. 3.75 crore. Despite strong hype, the film failed to attract Hindi audiences.

Hindi Version Box Office Collection:
Day 1 – Rs. 50 lakhs
Day 2 – Rs. 40 lakhs
Day 3 – Rs. 55 lakhs
Day 4 – Rs. 65 lakhs
Day 5 – Rs. 35 lakhs
Day 6 – Rs. 38 lakhs
Day 7 – Rs. 35 lakhs
Day 8 – Rs. 25 lakhs
Total (11 Days): Rs. 3.70 crore net

The numbers confirm that OG never picked up in the Hindi belt, even with heavy social media buzz around Pawan Kalyan and Thaman’s music. Unlike Pushpa 1 or KGF 1, the film opened quietly and faded fast.

Meanwhile, the Telugu version remains the main strength. The film has earned Rs. 180 crores from the Telugu states alone. Although the second weekend saw decent footfalls due to the holiday effect, collections dropped by Sunday, mainly because of competition from Kantara: Chapter 1.

Trade experts believe that OG is a moderate success overall. Still, it hasn’t matched the high expectations set before release. Distributors, who bought the rights at inflated prices, expected the film to cross Rs. 250 crores in India for breakeven. They now face losses not because of the film’s performance, but because of overestimation and unrealistic deals.
