Kantara Chapter 1 Day 3 BO: Never Before Jump?

Kantara Chapter 1 box office update

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 continued its strong box office run on Saturday, earning about ₹64 crore gross a 25% jump from Friday. The three-day total has reached ₹185 crore, and the film is now on track to cross ₹250 crore over the extended weekend.

Most of Saturday’s growth came from the Hindi version, especially in North India. Collections there rose nearly 60%, with the Hindi version making around ₹19 crore net on Saturday, up from ₹12 crore on Friday. Day three even outperformed day one, which was a national holiday, showing that positive word-of-mouth is driving the momentum.

In the South, growth was steadier. Karnataka, already running at near-full capacity, still saw a 10% jump and delivered its biggest Saturday ever, beating KGF 2. Its three-day total now stands at ₹56 crore, just behind KGF 2’s ₹58.50 crore. Tamil Nadu and Kerala saw solid increases, while Andhra Pradesh dipped slightly after the holidays. Nizam also recorded small gains.

The only setback is the Hindi version’s performance. Trade expectations had predicted it would power the film’s pan-India total like KGF 2 and Pushpa 2. So far, that hasn’t happened. If the Hindi business had matched projections, Kantara: Chapter 1 could have challenged the biggest pan-India blockbusters.

As the weekend continues, the focus remains on North India. If positive word-of-mouth grows stronger, the Hindi version could still turn things around and push the film toward a true nationwide breakthrough. For now, Kantara: Chapter 1 is trending toward a lifetime total between ₹550 and ₹600 crore worldwide gross.
