BookMyShow has changed how box office trends are tracked in India. Ticket sales data now gives a clearer idea of a film’s performance even before final collections are revealed.
In recent years, trade experts have relied on booking platforms to judge audience response. Some films have created records with massive ticket sales on BookMyShow.
Pushpa 2: The Rule leads the list with 20.41 million tickets sold. The film has set a new benchmark and continues to dominate the top position.
K.G.F. Chapter 2, starring Yash, holds the second spot. It recorded an impressive 17.1 million ticket sales on the platform.
Baahubali 2 remains strong in third place. Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, the film sold 16 million tickets and continues to feature among the top performers.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge has also made a mark. It holds the fourth position with 15 million tickets sold, showing strong audience interest.
Another entry on the list recorded 14.19 million ticket sales, closely following Dhurandhar: The Revenge in rankings.
Kantara: Chapter 1, led by Rishab Shetty, is another notable entry. Despite a modest budget, it sold 14.1 million tickets.
RRR, another film by S.S. Rajamouli, secured a strong position. It recorded ticket sales of 13.4 million on BookMyShow.
Kalki 2898 AD follows closely with 13.14 million tickets. The difference between these films remains minimal.
Chhaava marked a strong comeback for Vicky Kaushal. The film registered 12.58 million ticket sales on the platform.
Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is placed next with 12.4 million tickets sold. Meanwhile, Stree 2 recorded 11.16 million tickets, rounding off the list.
With several big releases lined up in the coming months, it remains to be seen which film will break into this list or create new records on BookMyShow.
